Bugsy- Pending Adoption

Meet Bugsy - 10 year old NYC Shelter Pull

·         Sweet 10 year old female

·         Spayed and up to date on vaccines

·         Good with children

·         Good with dogs/cats

·         Uses pee pads and outdoors, needs some house training

·         House or apartment ok

·         Needs eye drops, teeth brushing, and supplements regularly

Since Bugsy first came to Curly Tail in March, her journey has been a
tough but rewarding one.  She came to us in very poor health,
neglected and sad, and since has been treated by our dedicated vets
and the loving environment of her foster home.  This spunky 10 year
old is loving life, but is still missing that sense of peace and
belonging she will only find in her forever home.

Poor Bugsy was in rough shape the day she was rescued from a New York
City shelter by our Curly Tail volunteers.  She was struggling with a
large mass on her side, which made it very difficult to get around.
She also had intense pain from a mouth full of rot and decay.  After a
successful surgery to remove the growth, and extensive dental work,
the road to healing had begun.  Now she feels like a young pup again!
She’s mostly enjoys just hanging out with her people, but she will
surprise you her spunk.  She has the kind of pep in her step that you
would expect from a much younger pug.  Bugsy is a true tag-along and
will follow you anywhere.  Her fur is exceptionally soft and makes for
top class cuddling.  Very laid back and quick to adapt to her
environment, she will make a great addition to just about any home.

Like many dogs her age, Bugsy does require a little TLC.  She has the
kind of hearing and eyesight you might expect from an older girl, but
that doesn’t hold her back in the least.  Her medical treatments are
simple, but need to be done.  Eye drops and supplements are a daily
part of Bugsy’s life.  She also requires regular teeth brushing, so a
home where her humans will take the time for this extra care is a
requirement.

Bugsy’s a little embarrassed to talk about it, but she needs some help
and patience with her potty training.  Although she has become
accustom to using pee pads and the great outdoors, Bugsy’s does need a
little help initiating these activities.  Regular and consistent
bathroom breaks for her will resolve most of her housetraining issues.
 She has also recently become accustom to wearing diapers when her
foster family goes out.  She doesn’t seem to mind this, and her little
curly tail looks so cut wagging from the tail hole.

After a many hard years, Bugsy has tons of stored up love just waiting
for a willing recipient.  Having been given a new lease on life, she
really is taking full advantage.  This affectionate golden girl will
change your home from a great place, to the best place on Earth.
Don’t you think she has gone long enough without the family she
deserves?.....And don’t you think you’ve gone long enough without
Bugsy?
