     Cosmo, 3 year old surrender -very well behaved, completely housebroken -smart, enjoys learning new things -great, affectionate companion- loves his foster siblings & foster parents -young, strapping boy pug 3 year old Cosmo first came to Curlytails as a puppy with his sister and were adopted out at 8 wks old. His sister is happily living with her “forever” family, however Cosmo has come back to us as his owner had a lifestyle change. We are looking for a special "forever" match for the very sweet and loveable pug Cosmo, who needs AND gives an extra dose of love. Care: Cosmo is in very good health, however he was born with a manageable condition called “Megaesophagus” which can make it hard to keep his food down. We have a simple solution routine for his care. His food is thoroughly soaked before feeding and given slowly. Ice cubes are given instead of a water dish so he doesn’t drink too much at a time. (No special skills required for his care- only consistency, patience and the Curly tail staple- lots of love!) Fears addressed: In the house (or his familiar surroundings like the backyard), Cosmo is well adjusted and happy. He has been working with his fosters on overcoming some fear issues that arise when ‘going out into the world’ on walks. All the Curly folks are so proud of his progress- we're beaming- and Cosmo himself reports: “After months of doggie therapy, acupuncture, and calming herbal remedies… my thoughtful Curly foster parents got me a “Thundershirt” ( elastic tshirt which provides soothing pressure) to wear on my outings-and Eureka! I feel like I’m becoming a whole new confident (calmer) dog. “ Dream life: Cosmo is searching for a peaceful, suburban lifestyle in his ideal “forever” home…and dream of dreams- his own backyard in which to play. If you are the fortunate match for this great companion, your dedication will be rewarded 1000x fold with this sweet love bug, who needs a human to call his own. He is happy to take long walks, play tug of war, listen intently to all your thoughts… as well as snuggling up to watch tv, or taking naps with you. Cosmo’s foster mother says this little guy is very smart , a quick learner and quite a character. In fact, when you talk to him, he turns his head back and forth like he’s actually listening to you. When she wakes up, Cosmo’s by her bedside grinning at her, slowly wagging his tail as if to say, “Are you ready for today?” Are you the lucky match for our special Cosmo, who both gives and needs some extra loving care?
