Otys, 1 year old fawn male Baby Otys is a 1 yo old pug puppy surrendered to us because his owner could no longer care for him, and was going to put him to sleep. One of Otys' back legs is paralyzed and we don't know why. Otys was originally fostered in CT, but within a week, started refusing food and water, urinating blood and clots, and was rushed to the Emergency vet in CT. They found a raging urinary tract infection, to the point that Otys was unable to pass urine, and went into kidney failure. Otys was brought to NYC to be seen by our Curly Tail vets, was admitted into Intensive Care, with severe sepsis, and after three days, released to his foster mom's care. Otys was emaciated, with open areas on his useless foot. His foster mom has brought him back from the brink of death. He has gained a little weight, and is on a schedule of feeding and toileting. Otys wears a belly band. His foot is healing, and his diet is still being tweaked. In many ways, Otys is similar to Sophia, with the amount of care needed. Otys needs an Angel on Earth, to adopt him. Someone that will take care of him and love him, for the sweet soul that he is. Could it be you? It may well be the most rewarding thing you do in this lifetime, so please search your heart. We know there is someone out there, who will love Otys in the same way that so many of us love Sophia. Thank you.     |
