We have found this diet reduces shedding dramatically, increases weight loss, helps reduce the risk of UTIs, increases energy levels and lowers the rate of allergic reactions. We do diet modifications based on specific dogs' needs. Recommended Food Products We also use supplements like Grizzly Salmon Oil and Pet Authority Digestive Supplement to reduce shedding, help with dry, itchy skin, prevent UTIs and add probiotics to their systems. Many pugs have allergies which is why some are fed only certain lines of Wellness ie/ Simple Solutions or Turkey vs. Chicken. Wellness is a great product but some of their lines have 'too many' ingredients. Some dogs do well with Salmon oil and others do not...it is all about knowing your pet's needs and creating the right balance.
