More Reasons to Adopt a Senior Dog
Meet our Current Senior Pugs for Adoptions Meet Bailey - 9 yo - Owner Surrender Bailey is and eight year old neutered male who is healthy and happy in
every way. Bailey is having his teeth cleaned this week and being brought
up-to-date on all vaccines as well. Bailey was surrendered to Curly Tail by a
lovely gentlemen who helped someone out by taking the pug temporarily. Three
months passed and the owner never returned for Bailey. His foster mom cannot
understand how anyone could ever leave him behind. He is perfectly housetrained,
he loves all animals, and children. As a true pug does, he simply loves
everything and everyone. For and older guy he has a very young outlook on this
world and is simply looking for a house to call home and a family to call
friends.
Curly kids, Patrick and Tim hang out with Bailey at his foster home. They cuddle him and reassure him all will be okay. Meet Bebe Bio to be posted shortly

Meet Plum
Plum is currently on medical hold were no longer able to care for her. Plum is up to date on her shots, is full house trained and very well behaved. Plum loves human attention and would do best in a home with adults only and where she is the only dog. You can tell when Plum is feeling happy and content because she makes a sweet smile! Plum is a very sweet petite little pug, she only weighs about 15 lbs. Plum has a strong little puggie spirit and while she does have her peppy moments, she mostly enjoys lazy afternoon naps. Especially when she
can curl up on the couch next to a human.
Plum would make a wonderful, sweet, mellow companion for some lucky family! Plum is being fostered in CT/Lori
Her adoption fee is $200
Meet Hercules - 10 y/o gentleman, owner surrender Hercules is a sweet older boy whose elderly owner was not able to care for him any longer. Herc is blind and hard of hearing. He is potty trained to use his training pads in the mornings and he also eliminates on his daily walks outside. He is very attached to his foster mom and loves to be near her at all times. We have put Hercules on our Curly Diet and he is making progress by the day. We would love to see Hercules in a home where someone was home a lot of the time with a quieter lifestyle to give him the security and peaceful lifestyle this boy deserves in his Golden Years. ------------------------------------------------- The Old Ones One by one they pass my cage,
Too old, too worn, too broken, no way.
Way past his prime he can't run and play,
Then they shake their heads slowly and go on their way.
A little old man, arthritic and sore,
It seems I am not wanted anymore.
I once had a home, I once had a bed,
A place that was warm, and where I was fed.
Now my muzzle is grey, and my eyes slowly fail,
Who wants a dog so old and so frail?
My family decided I didn't belong,
I got in their way, my attitude was wrong.
Whatever excuse they made in their head
Can't justify how they left me for dead.
Now I sit in this cage, where day after day,
The younger dogs get adopted away.
When I had almost come to the end of my rope,
You saw my face and I finally had hope.
You saw through the grey, and the legs bent with age,
And felt I still had life beyond the cage.
You took me home, gave me food and a bed,
And shared your own pillow with my poor tired head.
We snuggle and play, and you talk to me low,
You love me so dearly and want me to know.
I may have lived most of my life with another,
But you outshine them with a love so much stronger.
I promise to return all the love I can give,
To You, my dear person, as long as I live.
I may be with you for a week or for years,
We will share many smiles, you will no doubt shed tears.
And when the time comes that God deems I must leave,
I know you will cry and your heart will grieve.
And when I arrive at the Bridge, all brand new,
My thoughts and my heart will still be with you.
And I will brag to all who will hear,
Of the person who made my last days so dear.
